A lot of people have been saying declining your application simply means you have fully exited the program. But this is not totally true from some point of view.
Here is what Declining your TVET approval simply means.
As the FME TVET Initiative Portal is experiencing changes to onboard and accommodate more candidates, there are quite a number of applicants who are on ground waiting to be approved/matched to training centers.
So as a Trainee, when you decline your TVET Application even with a concrete reason. You will be placed on hold until all candidates who were not approved to be approved or rejected first. Before you will be given another opportunity to be matched to another training center again.
This is because there are a lot of candidates on ground that they are trying to match, so matching you twice without matching who haven’t been matched before may cause confusion or heavy load on the TVET IT team.
But declining your application doesn’t mean total withdrawal from the TVET program, but it is important to stay at your current matched training center and do the necessary registration, then wait for further updates when you can easily change your training center or location with ease from TVET/NBTE directly without declining your approval.
