Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Payment Operations Specialist to join our dynamic financial team. In this vital role, you will oversee the end-to-end processing of payments, manage accounts receivable and payable, and ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal controls. Duties
- Process and verify incoming payments, ensuring accuracy and adherence to established procedures using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or PeopleSoft
- Reconcile accounts receivable and accounts payable transactions regularly to maintain accurate financial records
- Perform detailed account analysis and prepare journal entries in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) compliance standards
- Manage the revenue cycle, including billing, collections, and follow-up on overdue accounts using medical billing and collection techniques when applicable
- Conduct data entry with high accuracy, including 10 key typing and double-entry bookkeeping tasks for financial transactions
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve discrepancies through negotiation and effective communication with customers or vendors
- Assist in month-end closing processes by preparing reports, performing account reconciliation, and ensuring all financial data is accurate and complete
Qualifications
- Proven experience in accounting or financial services, with a strong understanding of corporate accounting practices
- Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, PeopleSoft, or similar platforms
- Knowledge of medical terminology, CPT coding (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD-10 coding standards, and medical billing processes preferred
- Strong analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data accurately
- Experience working within governmental or non-profit accounting environments is a plus
- Solid understanding of GAAP standards, SOX compliance requirements, and technical accounting principles
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in account reconciliation and journal entries
- Effective phone etiquette and customer service skills for handling inquiries related to payments or account status
- Ability to perform math calculations accurately involving debits & credits, CPT codes, ICD-10 codes, and revenue cycle metrics
- Must have experience about Quickbook, Squareup , Ramp , Crypto Exchange & Paychex
- Must have up and more than 3 years experience..
